Those present were Donald and Mabel Kimball of Sarnia, Gordon and Edith Bruton of Corunna, Harvey and Doris MacDougall of Bayfield, Ira and Elizabeth Dickie and. Lloyd and Ann MacDougall of Lucknow. MacLEOD - Sandy and John are overjoyed to announce the safe arrival of their first .child, Peter Grant, born Oct. 16, 1985 at. St. Joseph's Hospital, London, weighing 10 lbs. 1 oz. Glen and Mrs. Noble and Leslie of Swift Current, Sask.,'visited with friends in the area over the weekend and conducted the wedding ceremony for Norma and Dave McKenna. Meiklejohn - Howald James Edward Meiklejohn and Darlene Howald both of Lucknow were united in marriage on • Sept. 28, 1985 at the Lucknow Community Centre. The event was presid- ed over by Hanover Justice of the Peace, John Ward. James is the son of Mrs. Gwen Meiklejohn of•Marmora, Ont. and Darlene is the daughter of Mr. and. Mrs. Harold Howald of Lucknow. Luanne MacLeod was maid of honor and Janette Howald was bridesmaid. Junior bridesmaid was Mich- elle Andrew. • Tony Howald was grooms- man and Ed Lippert served as usher. (Gary Walden Photo) Midgets name players The Lucknow Midgets are busy prepay= 'ing ,for. the 1985-86 season opener on Monday night. The team faces Harriston, a new team in their league this season, in their usual Monday night 8:30 spot. In the past two `seasons; this group has extended their season to the All -Ontario Semi -Finals and expect to do well again this year. This year's team promises to be better defensively but . will miss the offensive punch of Dan Gilchrist who is skating for 'Listowel Cyclones this year. • Sophomore coach Larry MacPherson has• promised another. good season ofentertain- ing hockey. To date, his players are: Steve de. Jong, Brian Dyck, Fred Flanagan, Gary Forster, Jeff Gibson, Andy Grazier, Scott Hackett, Steve. What a blast for a buck! Bowling standings. Town and Country .Bowling High lady was• Marjorie Soloman with a single of 203 and a double of 399. The men did not make the score of 200, but Jake Conley came close with a score of 190 single and double of 327. Kinloss Bowling Shirley Allen rolled high score for the ' ladies with a single of 244:and a triple of 63'1. Other ladies with a score over 200 were Gerda de Jong with 219 and Kay McCormick with 212. High scorer for the men was Harry Lavis with .a single of 224' and a triple of 523. Evan Keith vyas the only other man with a• score of 200. He rolled 219. Lucknow Mixed League The high single for the ladies was bowled by' Marion Cook with 261 and the men's title was taken by Tom Hogan with 251. The ladies high triple was earned by Marion with 560 and for the men it was Tom Hogan with 572.
