The Women's Institute invite you all to
attend the Remembrance Day service at
Holyrood hall on Nov. 11.
Visitors with Mrs. Marretta Hodgins
were Mrs. Fred Johnstone of London, Rob
Hodgins of St: Catharines, Bevan Hodgins
of Wingham and -'Mr. and Mrs. Linton
Sittler of Culross.
Mrs. Frank Maulden, Edna and May
Boyle and Mrs. Marretta Hodgins were
dinner guests with Mr. and Mrs. Bill Burt
on Friday before Marretta went to Niagara
Falls to, her apartment for the winter
months.
. On Thursday evening the young folks
had a lovely moonlight night for trick or
treating. It was nice to see them in their
ghostly toggery and fancy hair styles and
nifty togs. Hope everybody has a good
time. Some went to the Hallowe'en Party at
Purple Grove Community Centre.
Young folks and the young at heart
attended the Youth Church group Hallow-
e'en party at the Anglican Parish Hall in
Lucknow and all enjoyeda real ' fun
evening. Some strange looking characters
were to be seen but it is all a part of
Hallowe'en.
Prizes for costumes were: youngest,
Jason Wall 6 - 12 years, Mandy Peck;
• most original, bale Lougheed; funniest,
Sandra, Haldenby; scariest, Joyce; Hedley
and most mature, Kay Thacker. Prizes also
went for the best balloon puffer, Misty
Humphrey;. best sponge thrower, Robin
Neable; jelly bean count, Jason Stanley;
/ pie eating contest, neatest, Karen John-
stone and David Collins and fastest,
Delores Cross and Vince Sticklend.

A. trip . through house of horrors• was a
thrill. Hopefully every place that had a
Harty to help all ages enjoy a fun evening
were as successful.

Bracebridge visited with her mother Mrs.
Bertha Haldenby and other members of the

Debbie Hedley of 'Kitchener spent a few
days here with her parents Mr. and Mrs.
Delbert Hedley.
Mr. and Mrs. Earl Elliott of concession
10 visited Saturday for supper with Mrs.
Marretta . Hodgins and on Sunday Mrs.
Ann Stam of Kincardine was a dinner guest
with Marretta. /
Mr, and Mrs. 'Jack Barr spent the
weekend in St. Catharines with her sister
Betty Hamilton. •
Mrs. Dunedin Bushell is a patient. in
University Hospital, London. Well wishes
are extended,, . '
Mr. and Mrs. Gordon McDonald and
boys of Orangeville visited his parents
here.. .
Mr. and Mrs. Tom McDonald visited at
Paisley as did her father Joseph. Guest for a
belated • Thanksgiving dinner with Mrs.
Fred Blobnifield,
Murray Barr was taken to a. London
hospital having suffered a foot injury while
at work on Nov. 1. Hope you are soon home
Murray.
Mr. and Mrs. Tdm McDonald visited
during the week with Mrs. Rob Jamieson
in St. Jacobs and with Mrs. Ron Young at
Waterloo. Nina's. sister, (Essie) Mrs. F.
Bloomfied of Paisley, visited here at the
McDonald home.
Mrs. Gerald Rhody and her grandson
Travers Brace "visited in London with Mr. •
and Mrs. Wayne Rhody and family.
Visitors to Europe return
Marg Black and Janet McPherson
recently returned from a three week vaca-
tion in, Weitenung, West Germany where
they'visited with Sgt. and Mrs. Fred Black
and baby Michelle.,
While in Europe, they toured throughout
West Germany and took a bus tour to Ein-
siedeln, Switzerland.
Wallace, Kerry, Dana and Alison Hous-
ton 'visited in the area from Fredericton,
New Brunswick, on their way to Port
Hardy, North Vancouver Island, 'where
Wally will be working with Trans Provin-
cial Airlines.

her home in Lucknow. , after recuperating;
from illness .with her son J.C. apd Emily
