All sang Come ye thankful people, • come. Mrs. Evelyn Gibb read an article of the hardships of people living in Chile under the most repressive government they have ever had. Alice Moore told a story of a somewhat eccentric Victor in autumn of 1843. He decorated the church with fruit and vegetables and"told the congregation to give thanks. The idea soon caught, on and in a few years the Harvest Festival was among the most popular service. The rollcall was . answered by six members and two visitors by a Bible verse with Law.
