Newlyweds and a 51st wedding anniversary
Congratulations to Harvey and Edith
Webster. They celebrated their 51st
wedding anniversary on September 29,
A quiet wedding was held at the
Presbyterian Manse on September 13 to
join George Beaton of Lucknow and Flora
Robb of W ingham in holy matrimony by
Rev. Paul Mills. Witnesses to the wedding
were Allen Robb . and Marilyn Collar. A
small dinner for family and friends was
held at the Wingham Golf Course following
the ceremony. Mr. and Mrs. Beaton will
reside in Wingham.
Congratulations to Darlene Howald and
Ed Meiklejohn, who were married Satur-
day evening in the Lucknow Community
Centre.
Betty and Bob Jones and family of Sarnia
spent the weekend with Marie and Barn)-
Haldenby. While here Bob got word of the
passing of his father in Newfoundland.
Ron and Edna Alton spent last weekend
in Amherstburg where they attended a
wedding for Ron's niece.
We are pleased to see Ailene Mann and
Garry Sutton home from the hospital.
Mrs. C. E. Barnes, Staffordshire, Eng-
land, a Women's Institute exchange
visitor, has been a guest at the home of
Mrs. Elsie Houston September 19 to 25.
Other guests at the first of the sameweek
were Mrs. Orval Jordan, Mount Albert;
Mrs. Verna Maluski, Chesley and Mrs/
Francis Gemmell, Ripley.

Sympathy to the families of the late Mr.
Winterstein. He passed away on Septem-
ber 26.
Michele Humphrey has successfully
passed her R.N.A. exams and is presently
employed at Wingham and District Hospit-
al. She is 'also working at Brookhaven
Nursing 'Home, Wingham and Brussels
Nursing Home. She is the daughter of Mr.
George Humphrey, Lucknow.
Trinity Dough -Girls learn about cooking.
Meeting One
The first meeting of the , Trinity
Dough -Girls was 'held on September 4 at
Suzanne Andrew's home. The president is
Shauna Andrew and Brenda Gibsonis
vice-president and' press reporter and
secretary are rotating. There are four
members in the club, three juniors and one
senior. The leaders are ;Mrs. Suzanne
Andrew and Mrs. Hazel Hackett. Tea
biscuits were made, judged and eaten With
some juice.

The second meeting of the Trinity
Dough -Girls was held on September 12 at
the home of Hazel Hackett. Four members'
and two leaders repeated the 4-H pledge.
Each member experimented with fats.

Cream Pie.'
Then they read about dessert fillings,
savory pies. and/ characteristics of pie
fillings.
