gathered of the preachers, teachers, school
groups and church groups of the Langside
community..
On August, 22 Rev. George Ball was a
caller in the village and told usat the
Whitechurch Community church service
that for the/month of September, services
will be held in Chalmers Presbyterian
Church. Sunday School will be at 10 a.m.
and `worship service at 11 a.m. These
services are for both United and Presby-
terian congregations and visitors will be
welcome.
Mr. and Mrs. Hector Pardon of Strath-
roy spent the weekend with Mrs. Cassie
Mowbray/ and Mr. and Mrs. Angus
Falconer. '

Last Wednesday Hugh Sinnamon and
his sister, Mrs. Phillip' MacMillan returned

Goderich were about 30 people gathered.

of Arkona, is holidaying with Mr. and Mrs.

Mrs. Wardrop and Mrs. Elliott attended
the 4-H workshop on Wednesday last and
will attend the next meeting September 11,
when they have to know all the girls taking
the course. So get your name in.

his 84th birthday in Wingham Hospital.

As part of a series of special promotional
days, the' Toronto Blue Jays .American
League baseball club, has declared Satur-
day, Sept. 7, Huron County Day. Ellison
Travel, of Exeter and Wingham is organiz-
ing a bus trip for up to 500 Huron County
residents to attend the Blue Jays vs Min-
nesota Twins game that day.
All proceeds from the*event will go to
Ronald McDonald House, in London and a
special presentation will be made to Mac-
Donalds and the Toronto Blue Jays on the
ball field prior to the start of the game. If the
full complement of 500 ticket sales is reach-
ed the Blue Jays will donate an additional
$500 to Ronald McDonald House.
The newly -opened McDonald's in
Goderich is donating special vouchers for
anyone who participates.
