REUNION
1 The 1st meeting of the subscribers of HURON & KINLOSS 'Telephone System was
held in the Townihip Hall, Ripley on March 7, 1911 for the purpose of discussing
the business of organizing a local telephone system. The subscribers were land
owners in the Townships of Huron and Kinloss and voted in favour of Huron
Township becoming the initiating municipality in organizing a local telephone
system. Huron Township Council passed bylaw No. 423 April 17, 1911
establishing a , telephone system to be known as the HURON & KINLOSS•
MUNICIPAL TELEPHONESYSTEM.
