Local resident passes away

Joe King was a Monday caller on Victor
Emerson.
Bobby Wilkens of 'Atwood spent a few
days holidays with Mrs. Glenna Steffen,
Susie and Crystal.
Bill Uuldrik went to visit friends on
Tuesday in Windsor, returning on Wed-
nesday. ,
The community again received a shock
when they learned last Wednesday that..
John Gaunt had passed ,away at Wingham
Hospital. He will be missed by the com-
munity for John was a friend of all and able
to help, at anykind of work. During his life
his main work was bush work. He also did
some ditch work.a had Musical abilities
which he used to�ssist others playing at
dances. The community extends sympathy
to his wife and family.
John Uuldrik of Kitchener called on his
father, Bill , Uuldrik.. They went fishing to
Orillia, returning ,Saturday.
On Friday, Carol Bell of Inverhumn
called on Mr.' and Mrs. Victor Emerson.
Mr. and Mrs. Doug Scott of Kitchener
are spending a few days with her cousin,
Mrs. John Gaunt.
MisS Angela Verburg'of Blyth is visiting
with her .cousin, Karen Lubbers..
Chalmers Presbyterian Church' has dec-
orated
eo-orated the room by the washroom with
carpet, a couch and heater. The renova-
tions were' made so Rev. George Bell can
go there 'to rest when visiting among the
congregation.
Mr. ' and Mrs. Mel McClenaghan of
Waterloo and Mr. and Mrs. Irwin McClen-
aghan of St. Thomas visited last Wednes-
day with Mr. and Mrs. Carr McClenaglian.
On Sunday, Mr. and Mrs. Carl McClen-
aghan visited with Mae Johann of James-
town.
Mr. and Mrs. John A. Currie and Mr..
and. Mrs. George McGee attended George
Currie's 90th birthday celebration . on
'Saturday at London..Around' 130 gathered
for the event.
Norma Rintoul visited on Sunday with
Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Robinson; 'Tracy,
Tim and Mark of Belgrave.

Daer of Goderich.
Don and Ruth Bell enjoyed a two week
holiday to the east coast to Prince Edward
Island. On their way nome they went to
Trout Lake near Ottawa Valley to visit with
relatives.
Mr. • and Mrs. Allan MacDougall and
family and Mr. and. Mrs, Lloyd .Macboug=
all ,were at a family .picnic at the hone of
Mr. and Mrs. Keith Elston of Wingham on
Sunday.

4-11 calf club
holds meeting

The Dungannon 4-11 Calf Club met at the
farm of Mr. and Mrs. Larry Johnston of
Auburn.
A tour of their 8,000 laying hen operation
was enjoyed by all members. They certain-
lytll were amazed at this kind of a farming
set up.
Afterthe tour, chocolate Milk, dough-
nuts and ice cream bars were enjoyed by
all.
