Rivett of: Dungannon, graduated from
Centennial College in Scarborough, Ontario
with a diploma 'in'Print Journalism at the
graduation ceremonies held June 28, 1985.
He is currently employed with Signal Star
Publishing at the Lucknow Sentinel.
Wedding anniversary
in St. Helens
Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Lyons celebrated
their 40th wedding anniversary June 16 at a
family dinner in their honor at the home of
Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Croskill of Listowel. 'It
was also Mr. and Mrs. Ctoskill's sixth wed-
ding anniversary on the same date.
The .family presented their parents with •
an anniversary clock and other gifts.
Present were John, Helen,Sara, Tiro and
Michael. Lyons of Londesboro; Lynda, Jeff
and David Croskill of Listowel, Murray
Lyons and Mrs. Lyons' sister and husband.
Also attendin were Mr. and Mrs: Stuart
Bradley o erhuron and sister-in-law,
Mrs. Mildred enry of Lucknow...
Hold Sunshine Sisters Social
Kairshea Women's Institute held, their
Sunshine Sisters Social on June 20 at 6:30
p.m. Members and. their guests enjoyed a
bountiful and delicious potluck supper.
• Mrs. Robert lUucnrtst the pres. welcomed'
an extremely well fed and; slightly' sleepy
group of ladies to'the meeting.
• Miss Shawna, Andrew, a. very talented
young lady, entertained the ladies with a
lively step darice number: • •
A 'big thank -you was given to the ladies
who organized the May bus trip to Niagara-
. on -the -Lake, Mrs. Donald , MacKinnon and
Mrs. Leonard ;Maclnnes. Mrs. Clarence Rit-
chie reported .on the Meals on Wheels pro-
gram and the need for a few more drivers.
• Mrs. Leonard Clarke gave an excellent and
concise report on the Area Convention.
Roll call.was the fun part of the evening
everyone had been waiting for. There were
some • suprised. Sunshine Sisters during this
exchange of gifts. Margaret certainly gave
Marion several surprises this year. Muriel
was even speechless while quilting.
Mrs. Gilchrist gave the courtesies and
thanked the hostesses, Mrs. Ira Dickie, Mrs.
Allan MacDougall .and Mrs. Harold Howald.'
visitors from New Brunswick
Mrs. Willis Bell and her daughter Ann of
Ormocto, New Brunswick visited last week
with her sister-in-law Jean and.. Russ
Phillips and with Irene and Bob Markham.
Also at the same two homes, they had a visit
from Jean's sister, Lois and Bill Burke of
Douglas, Manitoba. Mrs. Burke is a board
member of the Women's Institute for
Manitoba, and attended the. Federated.
Women's Institute Convention at University
of Western Ontario, on June 1620th. •
Oit June 22 they enjoyed a picnic at
Russell .and Jeans and those present were,
Mr. and Mrs. Att Bell; Mr. and Mrs. Arnold
Bell and Katy; Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Bell;
