Nurse always carne the morning .you were almost late for the bus and hadn't had time to brush your teeth. Play days and field day§ have ' always been annual events at our. school.. They were fun days and involved everyone. The events tested our athletic abilities a well as our sportsmanship.. We tested our feet arid eye movements by having . to dodge the pylons as well as the wet pot holes because it usually managed to rain either the day before or the morning of our track meet. .Class bus trips were always an. education. They managed to strengthen our vocal cor- ds, because it was impossible to be heard if ' one useda normal tone of voice. Stops for the • washroom provided leg exercise because' you had to run to keep .ahead `of the stampede: Lunch time • was an experience with nature .since the wind played havoc With our lunchbags while the ants and flies • shared our peanut butter sandwiches. Never -the -less, " we did see a lot of in- teresting 'and. fun things which I'm sure. most of us wouldn't have had the opportuni= ty to visit otherwise. Abnut the last weekof school was the most fun. Chucking all our notebooks, cleaning up the room and scrubbing our desks and cubby holes was fun. We managed to get everything done and the room looked brand new. Then came the crying and the hear- taches. The box of kleenex vanished on the spot as we said our goodbyes. It's great' to remeir:ber - to laugh and perhaps cry aboutthings that have happen- ed, but it'stime now to look ahead as we start a new. beginning. With this new begin- ning, many of us will go in different direc- tions. With us, we take fond memories of each other and these past nine years. at St.. Joseph's. Iri closing,, 1 want to thank our priest, Father.Dentinger, our principal Mr; Sharpe, ' our teachers for their guidance, knowledge' and patience. A special thanks to out parents' who; have brought us this far and I know they will continue to stand behind us and support us in the years to come. To my fellow graduates,, Jun,./Elmer, Vince, ' Lisa, Patti, Sharon, Martal, and , Wendy, you /are my_ best friends, good-bye, for now and the best of luck. I will miss you.
