Looking back on nine of our happiest years
by CHRISTINE CONNELLY
First of all, I would like to say how "very
proud I am to represent the 1985 graduating
class of St. Joseph's School, Kingsbridge.
It seems like only yesterday that" we
boarded the great yellow :bus for the very
first time. It was to be the beginning of nine
of our happiest years. Throughoutthe
homework, the projects, the tests, the pc:-
ams,
x-ams, we have survived, and are much better
people for havingdone so.
We have stuck together.
Together we have participated in school
sports, Chiistmas concerts and 50's days.
Together we have worked to raise school
funds at dances, a skip -a -thou, magazine

and cellars to find relics from the olden days
and listening to our parents reminisce about
those good old days?
•
On birthdays I'm sure you can remember
being put over the teacher's knees and get-
ting spanked. That hurt•our.poor '.derri'ere'
as we would say in French. Then the class
would all sing Happy -Birthday:
I can remember public speaking. days.
Whether it was saying a speech or a poem.
the hardest part was trying to calm down a.
friend or yourself. We each had the desire to
win but we sometimes ended up fumbling
near the end. That was embarassina. The
