Mr. and Mrs. Mac McDonald and Jef-
frey have moved from California to make
their home in the area. They are presently
staying with his parents, . Mr. and Mrs.
Tom McDonald.
Mr. and Mrs. George Bushell of Ottawa
travelled to London and brought his father
E.dhurt Bushell home from Victoria
Hospital London on Tuesday.
Mr. and Mrs. Bevan Stanley of here and
his mother, Mrs. Annie Stanley of
Lucknow, went to Stratford to the funeral
of his brother-in-law, the late M Zimmer-
man (Shirley's husband). r
Mrs. ' Rick Hehn and family of
Riversdale visited with Mr. and Mrs. Tom
McDonald.
A.C.W. ladies from here attended the
Church of Messiah special afternoon at
Kincardine on Tuesday. The special guest,
Mrs.Jean McBride of London, who had
recently returned from Uganda showed
pictures and spoke on the country as well
as the customs and need for Christianity in
the country. She answered many questions
as everyone is interested in the spread of
the gospel. She was attired in native dress.
Mr. and Mrs. Tom McDonald attended
the 35th wedding reception for Mr. and
Mrs. Elmer Scott (Mabel Hedley). at
Teeswater last Saturday evening.
Edna'i'and May Boyle visited on Monday
with Mrs. G. Walsh at Kincardine.
Mr. and Mrs. Dereck Douglas of Edmon-
ton, Mr. and Mrs. Morley Bushell of
Wingham, and Margaret Bushell of
Goderich visited on Tuesday with Mrs.
John*arr.
The Kinlough W.M.S. meeting was held
at the home of Mrs. Bert Thompson on
Wednesday afternoon.
Mrs. Donald Bushell presided and open'—
ed the meeting with two readings o
Father's Day. The minutes were read
the assistant secretary, Miss Winnifre
Percy. The treasurer's report was also
given by Mrs. Donald Robertson. A letter
was read regarding a change m the wor-

ding of the W.M.S. purpose. It was decided
• to have it remain as it is.
Plans weremade for the church service
on.July 7.
The devotions were conducted by Mrs.
Frank Maulden followed by a poem, a
hymn and a prayer. The offerings were
taken.
The program was organized by Miss
Winnifred Percy. She had an interview
between an Education. Convenor and Miss
Lee who is a worker in Korea. The parts
were taken by Mrs. Alex Percy and Mrs.
Glen Haldenby.
Miss Percy /read an item about Koreans
in Canada where there are some 40,000
with 30,000 of there in Toronto. She told the
differences in work and languages. They
were divided into three groups and did
playettes in keeping with the theme on
Korea.
A question and answer period followed.
A hymn and the Lord's prayer closed the
meeting followed by a delicious lunch.
Mrs. Ivan Lloyd and Mrs. Pearl Lloyd of
London visited on Thursday with Edna and
May Boyle.

with his grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Bert
Nicholson.
Mr. and Mrs. Bill Clements of London
visited with their aunt Marretta Hodgins.
Agnes Hodgins returned home after a
trip with some Ripley ladies to Fenelon
Falls.
Mr. and Mrs. Jack Barr visited with Mr.
and Mrs. Bill Bushell and Adam of Wrox-
eter.
Mr. and Mrs. Bill Burt, Mr. and Mrs.
Leonard Stanley and Terry and Marretta
f-lodgins attended the bridal shower for
Sheri Clampitt on Sunday at Purple Grove
Community Centre. The shower was
followed by a smorgasbord dinner and en-
joyable social time. Best wishes to the
bride.
Outdoorworship service held
On Sunday, June 2, Lucknow United
Church held its annual Outdoor Worship
Service and Congregational Picnic at Silver
Lake Camp. The Worship Service was led by
Mrs. Gordom Cayley»in the absence of Rev.
McDougall. The theme of the service was
"The -Lord God Made Them All". After a
lunch of barbecued hamburgers, games
were enjoyed by all.
The Worship Service on Sunday, June 9
marked the 60th anniversary of Church
Union which took placed on July 10, 1925.
Mrs. Glen Walden and Rev. Warren
McDougall" presented six vignettes reflec-
ting events and personalities concerning
Church Union. The Psalm reading, the
Gospel reading and the Act of Consecration
were taken from the Inaugural Service of
1925.
The Sacrament of Infant Baptism was
celebrated on Sunday, June 23, at which
time the congregation of Lucknow United
Church welcomed into its fellowship Cindy
Jean Willits, daughter of Bruce. and Barb;
Holly Alana Andrew, daughter of Allan and
Linda; and Adam Robert Martin, son of
Robert and Margaret.

Dungannon slow pitch
tournament this weekend.
The Dungannon Agricultural Society is
sponsoring, their 8th annual Men's Slo-
Pitch Tournament the last weekend in
June, with a total of 16 teams entered in a
