Lucknow couple quietly celebrate 50th wedding anniversary
Ed and Jean McQuillin quietly observed
their 50th wedding anniversary .on Satur-
day, .June 22,, at Wingham and District
Hospital where .Ed has beena patient for 18 -
months since
8-
months.since suffering a stroke.
The nurses on the first floor made a lovely
dinner in the lounge for Ed and Jean.
At the June, meeting of the Lucknow
chapter of the Royal Arch Masons No. 147, a
donation of $100 wasmade to the Red Cross
Tornado Fund.
Summer holidays have°begun and We
have 'a -lot. hildren out their so we should
all be alertour driving and watching for
small children on our streets.

Mike Reagan of Toronto, Susan and hus-
band David Strucke of Kincardine, Judy and
husband Howie Tolton and Angie of Port

mother and father Joyce and Harold of Kin-
cardine. They enjoyed a delicious dinner at
Robindale's in Goderich in honor of their
40th Wedding Anniversary on Saturday
evening. Congratulations Joyce and Harold.'
A surprise birthday party was held for
Bev Button on Friday night at Mosa Hills
Gold Club by her sister and brother-in-law,
Vickie and J.C. 'Babcock' of Wardville and
her brother Jim Fowler of Newbury. On
Sunday night, Richard. and Gloria Kawn
• entertained Bev and Chris and Bev's mother
Vi to Chinese dinner in honor of her birth-
day.. W. " visiting in Wardsville, Bev. and •
Chris ed• in the bike-a-thori and com-
pleted the 10 km to Newbury. The bike-a-
thon was" held on. Saturday and. was
sponsered by Babcock Nursing Home. Pro-
ceeds went for the new addition to the Four
Counties General Hospital in Newbury.
On Thursday morning, Nancy McIntyre of
the Lucknow public school held the gradua-
tion of her Kindergarten Class, with all
graduating into Grade one. The program
opened with 0 -Canada. Marshallow's Ad-
.vice, a hymn, and song and alsoa Care Bear
play and slides. The children sang 'the
graduation song and the pupils were
presented with diplomas. Refreshments and
picture's followed.
,Wednesday evening the Grade eight
students received their diploma's and
awards.,They also enjoyed a delicious meal

This class begins Tuesday, July 9
Ladies exercise class includes special exercises done in shallow water. You donot
need to know how to swim to participate In this fitness program. Enrollment is
limited to 20 members. Cost will be $17.00 for the summer ($1.25lclass)
Please register Monday, July 8 before class.
The early morning swim cost is $1.00 per swim. This swim begins July 9. '
Bubblers classes are being held during the parents and tots swim. For this class, children .
will be swimming without their parents. The cost of these classes is .50° a lesson.
Bronze and Bronze Cross classes begin Monday, July 8 - $22.00 for the season.

Federated Women's Institute's tenth Na-
tional Convention at the . University of
Western Ontario in London on June 16 to 20.

did many other branch members from the
Grey -Bruce area.
Dorothy and Duffy McQuillan spent last
weekend visiting . with Dorothy's son and
daughters and other relative's in
Woodstock.

in Sarnia. They spent . time with Barry's
