Alexander Tolmie MacNay
Alexander Tolmie MacNay of Lucknow
passed away Monday, June 3, 1985 in
Wingham and District Hospital in his, 83
year.
Born in Ashfield Township, he was the
son of the late Peter McNay and Alexand-
ria Graham.
Mr. MacNay farmed in Ashfield . Town-
ship prior, to moving to Lucknow in 1944
where he was employed in the Maple Leaf.
Aircraft as stock controller. He was also
employed by the Co-op and Knechtel
Milling Company, thereafter taking over
Greenhill . Cemetery for the past • thirty
years.
He was a member of Lucknow United
Church andMasonic.Old light Lodge No.
184.

He is survived by his wife, the former
Margaret Button and three sons, Robert of
Amberley, „Donald of Toronto and Dr.
Kenneth of'W iarton. Mr. MacNay is' also
survived by seven grandchildren and two
brothers, Kelso.of Ashfield Township and
Graham of Ottawa. Mr. MacNay was pre-
deceased by one son, Gordon, in February
1967.
A Masonic Lodge memorial service was
held at the, funeral home Tuiday at 9 p.m.
Rev,. Warren McDougall officiated for
the funeral service held at the MacKenzie
and McCreath Funeral Home, Luclmow, on
Wednesday, June 5, 1985 at 2 P.m.
Honourary pallbearers were Jim Boyle,
Charlie McDonald, Bill Ross, Armstrong
Wilson, Omar Brooks and Donald McTav-
ish.
'Flower bearers were five grandsons,
Steven MacNay, Greg and Gordon Mac -
Nay, Sterling and Ramsay MacNay and
nephew, Beverly McNay.
Cremation followed the service with
committal in Greenhill Cemetery Sunday,
June 9, at 1.30 p.m.
Katherine Jean Currie
John L. Currie of 137 James Street,
Wingham, and his family are this week
mourning the passing,of a loving wife and
mother, Mrs. Katherine Jean Currie, which
occurred Sunday, June 2, at Wingharn and
District Hospital. She was in her 72nd year.
The former Jean Orr, Mrs. Currie was
born at Broderick, Saskatchewan, on
September 18, 1913. Her parents were the
late William Orr and Abilene Jeffry. She
married Mr. Currie in Wingham on March
20, 1943.
Mourning her death, besides her husband,
are her family:. Anne and Jim Toth of
Goderith, Bruce and Liz Currie, Turnberry
"Township, and Duane and Gwen. Currie.
West Wawanosh Township. Also surviving
are four grandchildren; three sisters; Mrs.
Oswald I Mary Dolenal Rudi of Hyde Park:
Mrs. W. ' T. (Jessie) Lapp, Wingham, and
Mrs. Elson I Isabel) Arnold, Bervie; and six
brothers, James Orr of London, Robert.
Kinloss Township, Alex, Montreal. Bruce
and Richard,. both of Teeswater and Ken of
British Columbia. She was predeceased by
one sister Christina in 1955.
Mrs. Currie was a member of the
Winghaw United Church and the senior
Women's Institute. She was the current No-
ble Grand of Majestic Rebekah Lodge N.
352 and was honored by her Lodge sisters at
a tmernorial service at the funeral home on
Monday evening at 7:30

Currie was conducted at 3:30 Tuesday -at
The McBurney Funeral Horne, Winghain.
by Rev. J.Rea Grant. Interment followed in
Wingham Cemetery.
Pallbearers were two grandsons, Rob and
Bill Toth, and four nephews, Doug Lapp. Bill
Percy. Alex Rudi and Mery Arnold. Floral
arrangements_weie carried to the graveside
by two grandchildren, Dave and Debbie.

The grade 8 students from Luclmow
Public School left Tuesday morning for It
four day trip to Ottawa. They will be
returning on Friday of this week.

Schlosser on Sunday were Marie Prnko-
powicz and Grace Cassidy of R. R 3,
