Falconer's 40th .anniversary on Friday
night in Sarnia were Mrs. Cassie Mow-
bray, Mr. and/ Mrs. Angus Falconer, Mrs.
Isabel Tiffin of Lucknow, Mrs. Wesley
Tiffin and Mr. and Mrs. Kevin Falconer.
They also visited with Mr. ,and Mrs. Hugh
McMillan of Sarnia.
Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Wilston of West
W awanosh visited on Tuesday 'livening
with Mrs. Wesley Tiffin.
A few men from the village went on the
bus to help clean up in the tornado 'areas.
On Friday the shut off valve in front of
Mrs. Bill Rintoul's house sprung a leak and
water ran down highway 86 to Bill Gibsons
all weekend. All the plumbers seemed to
be away for the weekend or not interested
in that kind of, work. Hopefully it will be
repaired Monday.
Mrs. Bakker of W ingham visited W ed-
nesday with Mr. and Mrs. Victor Emerson,
Congratulations from the community to
Mrs. Bill Gibson on last week's winning of
a money award.
The 103rd anniversary service was held
Sunday, June 9 at the United Church. The
guest speaker, Mr. Jack W hytock,. gave his
morning . service on Witnesses of Those
Things, taken from Luke 24.
-Music was provided by the choir and
sacred music was sung by Hugh Sinnamon.
In the evening, Mr. Whytock's subject
was, The Great Assembly of the Saints, as
taken from Hebrews 10 and Acts 2.
Musical selections were sung by the
Friends,' a musical and vocal group from
Kurtzville. A friendship hour followed the
evening service.
Before you head out in your boat this
summer do a safety check on all your
equipment. Be sure there are two paddles,
Iife jackets for everyone, a bailer and a
signalling device. listen to the weather
forecast to make sure weather conditions
will be safe before heading out on a day
long excursion.
