Mrs. Alfred Wright of Alliston visited
last week with Mr. and Mrs. Russell
The June meeting of, the U.C.W. was
held at the home of Mrs. Elmer Sleight -
holm. Mrs. Balland Pauline Adams
presented the topic on Stewardship.
Mrs. Adams read a scripture and led in
prayer. A hymn was sung and Mrs. Ball
showed a film, Adam with Love.
The film dealt with the present and the
past of our world. In the beginning there
was clean air, water and animals; all the
beautiful things God had put on earth for
our use. In time, man had cut down the
trees and burned them. He spoiled the
water and ultimately the wonderful world
the Lord had given us.
The roll call was answered by nine
members with a verse from a hymn
relating to stewardship and our abilities.
Mrs. Farrier thanked Mrs. Sleightholm,
Mrs. Ball and Mrs. Adams.
