Mary Isabelle ( MacDonald)
MacKinnon
Mary.Isabelle MacKinnon, a lifelong resi-
dent of • Kinloss Township, died at the
Pinecrest Nursing Home on Friday May 31,
1985. She was 95 years of age.
Mrs. MacKinnon was born on September
28, 1889 in Kinloss Township to the, late Jane
Fraser of Langside and the late Donald
MacDonald, also of Langside. She was a
member of the South Kinloss Presbyterian.
Church, a life member �f the South Kinloss
Missionary Society and a long .time -member
of the Kairshea Institute.
She was married to the late Donald L.
MacKinnon on June 27, 1918 at the home of
her parents.
Mrs. MacKinnon is predeceased by Bill of
Teeswater; John of Grand Prairie; Alberta;
' Neil of Teeswater; John of Grand Prairie,
Alberta; Neil of Teeswater; Russell of
Blyth; Etta .(Mrs. Walter Smith) of Maybee,
1\4 ehig n and Katherine ( Mrs. Peter Mof-
fatt 1 of RR 3 Holyrood.
She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Alex
Collins of Ypsilanti, Michigan and by her
children, Jean (Mrs. Ross MacKenzie) of
Goderich; Grace (Mrs. Orville Elliott) of
Lucknow and Fraser and John of Kinloss
Township. She is also survi 'ed by 12 grand-
children and 12'great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at the South
Kinloss Presbyterian church' on June 2, 1985
at 2 p.m. 'Rev. Allison Rarlisay officiated.
Active pallbearers were Herb Buckton, Bob
Gilchrist, Bruce Hamilton, Allan Graham,
Ira Dickie ` and Lloyd' .MacDougall.
Flowerbearers were grandsons Murray
MacKinnon, Kevin and Danny MacKenzie
and David Hicks.
Burial was at South Kinloss Cemetery
with the MacKenzie. and McCreath Funeral
Flume acting; as funeral director.

(MacDonald) Hackett
Virginia Margaret Hackett, of Concession
11 of Ashfield Township,, passed away in St.
Joseph's Hospital, London, on Friday, May
24, 1985.
Eldest daughter of the lateDonald S. Mac-
Donald and Margaret MacKinnon, of
Ripley, she was born at Laurium, Michigan,
on October 18, 1908. On June 26, 1935 she
married Wilfred R. Hackett who' survives
along with a son, James D. Hackett, of the .
R.C.M.P. and his wife Trix, of Toronto. Also
surviving are two sisters, Lenore Harrison
of Goderich and Florence 'MacDonald and a
brother John C. MacDonald, both of Ripley.
She was predeceased by a brother, Donald
MacDonald and sisters, .Norma, Mrs. Ken-
neth MacKay, Irene, Mrs. Burton Griffith
and Marie, Mrs. James D. Lowry.
Virginia Hackett was a graduate of Vic-
toria Hospital School of Nursing, London,
1933. As well as giving special nursing care,
she worked at Wingham and Goderich
Hospitals for fifteen years before her retire-
ment. She had a particularly kind caring
bedside manner. She will be missed as a
good neighbour, friend and loving Aunt to
her may nieces.and nephews.
She as life member of the U.C.W. of
Trinity United Church, Ashfield, whose
minister Rev. Arthur Scott conducted the
funeral service from the MacKenzie, Mc-
Creath Funeral Home, Lucknow on Sunday,
May 26.
Pall bearers were a nephew, Randy
Lowry and neighbours, Lorne Hackett,
Barry Hackett, Chester Hackett, Donald
Hackett and John Rutherford.
Flowerbearers were Colin MacLennan,
Scott Hackett, William Andrew, Ken Alton,
Russell Irvin and Frank Alton.
Interment was in Greenhill Cemetery,
Lucknow.
