Receive Australian post card
Ronald and Kathleen Forster of R. R. 1
Lucknow had a pleasant surprise to receive
in the mail, a post card from Forster,
Australia. Ruggels and Marion Jenkins,
who spent a year in Lucknow m the early
50s are on a winter tour, having Spent three
weeks in New Zealand, two weeks in
Australia, then on to Singapore, Bangkok
and Hong Kong for a few days each place,
and a week in Hawaii on the way home to
Hill Island, Ontario. Hill Island is on the St.
Lawrence River. Forster offers a wonderful
combination of open surfing beaches,
sheltered waterways and picnic facilities.
Congratulations to Charles and Helen
Searle of Kincardine who are celebrating
their 60th wedding anniversary on March
30. Charles and Helen are the parents of
Bill Searle of Lucknow.
• Gloria and Bob Symes and. Bob's sister,
Betty and her husband spent a week's
vacation in Texas. Bob and Gloria enjoyed
the beaches of Huston, Texas, while Bob's
•sister and her husband travelled on to
Dallas to see J. R's ranch.
The Lucknow Scouts, Cubs and Beavers
held a very successful bake sale on
Saturday.
An open house was held in the Lucknow
Public School on Wednesday night, March
20, for the display of the Science Fair
projects. The very interesting projects took
much work and concentration.
A miscellaneous shower was held in the

Lucknow United Church in honour of
Brenda Henderson on Wednesday even-
ing. Brenda is to be married on April 6 to
Gordon Kemp of R. R 7, Lucknow.
Archie Graham of London visited with
Bob Purves on Friday and Saturday and
also with Margaret and Evan Keith.
At the Lucknow Central Public School
the grade 8 students held a rock-a-thon
from Friday at 4 p.m. until Saturday at 4
p.m. There were some pretty tired looking
boys and girls, but all managed to make
the 24 hours.
