Lucknow atom A team ties Kincardine in exhibition game
The Lucknow Atom A team tied Kin-
cardine Tuesday, March 19 in an exhibition
game, 7 - 7. Kincardine had a hard fight to •
catch up as Lucknow was ahead at one
point 4 - 0
Scoring for thcknow were Justin Murray
with 4 goals, Chris Stevenson with 2 goals
and 1 from Tom Chilton. Assisting on the
goals this game were Matt Drennan with 2,
Darryl Gibson, Chris . Stevenson, Terry
Stanley, and Ray Dalton with one each.
In the Mildmay Carrick tourney this
weekend Lucknow Atoms faired pretty well
but lost out to Hensall in the third garne of
the championship round.

win over Howick, after a lot of hard work
going end to end. Most of this work was
done by Justin Murray who scored all four
goals for Lucknow assisted by Chris
-Stevenson. on three and Dwayne Porter on
one. Justin Murray received player of the
game award.
The second game against Lefroy_was a
seat gripping game' as Lefroy knows ,how to
play defensively and were busy knocking
the puck away from L,ucknow's players as
soon as they got it.
. Lefroy scored at the '8.54 • nark of the
second period making it a 1 - 0 lead over
Lucknow. Matt;' Drennan scored the all
important tie goal at 6.40 of the third
period unassisted. Chris Stevenson follow
ed up with the tie breaking goal two
minutes later. Lefroy pulled the goalie for
an exciting ending and Justin Murray
scored on the empty net. Justin also
assisted on Chris Stevenson goal. Player of
the game award went to Chris who worked
very hard. Score 3 - 1.
In the third and final game Hensall came
out fighting with a lot of determination.
'Hensall scored four quick goals on
Lucknow making it 4 - 0 in the first period.
This made for a lot of excitement for the
fans in the second period when Vince
.Sticklend scored two goals in the second
period, one unassisted and one assisted by,
SPORTS
Chris Stevenson. Justin Murray scored in
the third unassisted and they came very
close to tieing the game, but the goal
tending for Hensall was excellent, as they
were outshot by Lucknow. Vmce Sticklend
received player of the game award. The
final scored was 5 - 3.
The championship finally went to
Shallow Lake. It was an excellent touma
ment and a lot of great hockey was played.
