Cancer society plans April campaign
A meeting at the home of president,
Rev. William Henderson, March 21„ was
convened to plan for the annual "Daffodil
Cancer Canvas". Anna Kreutzweiser and
' Mildred three are the campaign chair-
persons and they are nowmarshalling their
loyal team to help canvass the village and
surrounding community. This is a major
task and the society once,.again requests
the community's co-operation for what has
become a major assistance to research for
the Canadian Cancer Association.
In Toronto, the official parade is to be
held Friday, March 29, but the sale of
daffodils will be delayed two weeks to April
12. Severe weather on the west coast has
delayed the daffodil harvest.
Don and Bev Thompson have willingly
agreed to let the society use "The Lottery
Shop" and the flower will be on sale April
12 at9.30 a.m. through the day and society
members look forward to seeing many
familiar faces buying daffodils. There are
10 blooms in bunch for $2.50.
