Pee Wees make it to YCW semi-final round
The Lucknow PeeWees made it to the
semi-finals of the championship round in the
D division of the Young Canada Hockey Week
Tournament held in Goderich last week. The
local tearn,defeated 'Merton and but
lost to Behnont who went on to defeat
Wellesley to take the. D championship of the
tournament.

nesday Morning the two teams were evenly
matched and played see -saw with the goals
until a breakaway poWer play goal by Rod
Crich scored.the insurance marker to end the
game 7 - 5 for Ludmow.
!Merton was off to a good start with a tw o
goal lead before Indmow's Brad Murray tied
the score with two goals at the 3.41 and 4.23
mark. Ilderton scored again at the 6.26 mark
to take a one goal edge into the second
period. •
Justin Murray tied the score with a tricky
shot from a scramble three minutes into the
second' period. With Ilderton short two men,
lucknow pulled theirgoal keeper for an extra
forward but were unsuccessful in Scoring.
Ilderion's Colin Telford scored his third
goal for a hat trick to open the third period
followed by another Merton goal before -
Incknow'S pod Crich evened the score on a
rebound as the puck slid low past the Merton .
netminder.
Murray scored number three for a hat trick
after rushing the 'Merton net and Lucknow
continued to push for the insurance marker.
If play had not been called off side, Ilderton •
would have had another goal to even the
.score, but a breakaway powerplay, goal by
Boi Crich put home the victory for Incimow.

out on top of a 5- 1 victory. •
Through the first half of the first period,
neither goal tender was tested 'often,
although Lucknow captain Brad Murray burst
across the blue line only to be ridden Off the
puck by a .Brussels defender. He managed
only a weak shot. at the goal, missing one of
the first period's better, sooring opportunities.

Brussels closed out the scoring in the
second period with their first goal of the
game, deking two players from the blue line
and putting away. a back hand up high over
I.ocknowgoalie Paul Helm who went down on
the play.
In the third period Murray scored again
erasing any hope, of a Brussels come back
