two weeks in Florida.
Mr. and Mas. Allan MacDougall enjoyed
their trip to Las Vegas last week.
Sympathy is extended to Mr. and Mrs.
Barry Johnston and family on the death of
Glady's father, Victor Gawley of Ripley, who
passed away on Friday ,in Kincardine
Hospital.
Mr. and Mrs. Denver Dickie and Alexander
of Keswick spent last weekend with Denver's
family, here, Mr. and Mrs. Ira Dickie and Mr.
and Mrs. William Dickie.

South Kinloss WMS meet
Pbstponedone day because of the storm on
March 5, 'members of South Kinloss W.M.S.
met on Mardi 6 at the home of Mrs. Harry
Lavis.
The president, Mrs. John Mowbray,
opened the meeting with a poem, In
Remembrance of Me.
Mrs. Ira Didcie presented the Bible Study,
from United in Prayer. This chapter told of
the need for prayer for our missionaries and
those working on our National staff. Through
• the years we have met, heard and read about
many missionaries. They all have special
needsin the countries' where they serve.
Short prayers for missionaries and workers in
Church Offices were given by several of the
members.
Fifteen members answered the roll call
with a Bible verse with the word peace and
the ,number of visits made to sick and
shut-ins.
The offertory prayer was .given by Mrs.
Leonard Clarke.
During the business period a card of thanks
was read from Mrs. Douglas Graham and
family. A motion was passed to send, $25 for
the C. G.I.T. camp fund. A shower is planned
for Laurie Clarke on March 30.
Two readings relating to the Bible Study on
Prayer were given by Mrs. Allan MacDougall
and Mrs. Harold Howald.
Mrs. Fraser MacKinnon continued the
. Mission Study on. Korea. Far centuries this
country has been invaded by strong surround-
ing nations, Russia, Japan, and China. It was
annexed by Japan in 1910. Interesting letters
and pictures received from Mr. and Mrs.
Frank MacKenzie's sponsored child in Korea
were passed around.
Courtesies were given by Mrs. Ira Didde
and the dosing prayer by Mrs. Lloyd
MacDougall.
Sharlene is baking princess
Sharlene , Jones, daughter of Barry and
Betty Jones, was chosen Baking Prinepss at
the Faun Show in London last week.
The community will be -sure to remember a
week ago Monday as the worst storm we had
in 1985. But as all said we werevery thankful
it was• a fast roving storm, but for a great
many it still was not fast enough.
The community would like to send its
congratulations 'to Dr. Mel Corrin of
Lndmow, who has been named Doctor of the
Year. •
Judy Sinclair and Cindy Simpson had a
.baby shower for Eunice and Kelly Simpson
recently and Kelly received many lovely
presents.
George and Betty Moncrief have returned
home after a two week holiday in Florida.
They -said the weather was just perpect for
their vacation and on Thursday George
and Betty visited with their son, daughter-in-
law and grandson, Russell, Lesley and Scott
Moncrief in Aylmer.
Mary Kirk of Tiverton and Betty Jones
spent a few days in London and visited with
their relatives while they were storm stayed

Cecil and Tun Webster of W aterloo, sons of
Wellington and Kae Webster were home on
the weekend with their parents, and on
Friday evening Charles and Mayme Wilkins
visited at the Websters for a belated birthday
cake with Cecil.
E arbara Wilkins, daughter of Charles and
Mayme Wilkins, of Paris was home for a
couple of days with her parents, and brother,
Kenny, and on Wednesday some of the family
were there for dinner to wish Barbara a
Happy Birthday. ,
Gordon and. Nora Robb were up 'to Lions
Head on Sunday to visit with their daughter,
son-in-law acid grandchildren, Edwin and
Janice McCutcheon.
Dorothy Finlayson is home again after
having spent January and Flebrvary in
Toronto.
Ethel bowls two super games
We wish to congratulate Ethel Rutherford
who is almost ninety years old, on her
bowling at Wingham on Thursday, March 7.
Ethel bowls with the seniors and in her first
game had three. strikes. Her flat score was
120 plus handicap of 98 for a total of 218. Next
game started with a spare and strike and
ended with 150 plus 98 handicap for a total of
248. Two games ,456. •
Jim Lavis returned the end of Flebnzary
from a fourteen day trip to Florida
Mary and John Collinson returned from a
sixteen day trip to Lakeland, Florida, and said
the weather there was beautiful with' temper
atures in the 86:
Pat -and Ernie. Good and girls of Goderidh
spent Sunday with Bob Purves and Brenda
and Ed Lippert and also with Pat's mother.
We wish a speedy recovery to Leonard
Maclnnes of Havelock Street. He is a patient
at the University Hospital, London and under-
went
nderwent surgery on Thursday.

Schlosser on Wednesday for a visit.
Sympathy to Mary Blade and faintly on the
sudden passing of her husband, Walter, on
Friday at the their apartment on Rots Street.
Belle Mole has just returned from London
where she spent 10 days visiting with her
daughter Marion Salo and family; her sister
and husband, Mr. and. Mrs. Stuart MacDon-
ald, and her cousin, Anne Mae Taylor.
