OBITUARIES
Mildred Irene Bushell
Mildred Irene Bushell of 624 Canning
Street, Lucknow died Friday, Flebruary 22,,
1985 at •her home•of a heart attack. She was
59.
Mrs. Bushell was a registered nursing
assistant at Pinecrest Manor Nursing Home
in Lucknow for More than 15 years. She was a
member of the Lucknow Presbyterian Church
and of •CUPS local. •
Born 'in Kincardine on January 20, 1926,
she married ' Max Bushell of Ludmow in
Kincardine, on September 4, 1943. •
She was the daughter of Robert Riddell and
Mabel Hewitt, both living in Bervie.
She is survived by her husband, Max, one
son, Ronald, and his wife Betty Lou of
Walkerton and a daughter, Brenda, and her
husband, Darryl Gibson of Tokyo, Japan. She
is also survived by one sister, Isla Cleveland,
of Blenheim, and two grandsons, Kevin
Bushell of Toronto and Dennis Bushell of
Walkerton.
The funeral was conducted at the MacKen-
zie and McCreath Fbneral Home in,Lucknow
by Rev. Allison Ramsay of Lucknow Presby-
terian Church on February 25, 1985 at 2 p.m.
Pallbearers mere Cliff Johnston, John
Rook, Gerald Murray, Harold Smith, Eldon
Bradley and John Hodgins. Honorary pall-
bearer; were the staff of the Pinecrest
Nursing Home. The flower bearer was Wilbur
Brown.
Spring interment Greenhill Cemetery,
Lucknow.
Flank Irwin
Flank Twin, age 92, formerly of Belfast
passed away at the Austin Rest' Horne on
Thursday, February 21, 1985.
The son of the late William John Irwin and •
Amelia Henry, he was married to Eva
Rutherford, who predeceased him. in 1972.
He was a welder by trade and 'lived for
many years in Salida, where he worked on the
• Bluewater Bridge when it was being built.
After the death of his wife, Eva, he
returned to Belfast to retire, the area in which
he was bom, until failing health forced him to
reside in a rest home.
He is survived by one sister Winnie,, Mrs.
Glen Campbell., R R 7, Lucknow and one
brother, Jack of Goderich. •
One sister, Lila and brothers Roy, Harry -
and two infant brothers predeceased him..
Funeral service took place from MacKenzie
and McCreath Funeral Home in Tiidmow
with Rev. ArthurSoott of the Ashfield charge
officiating.
Interment in the spring at Greenhill
Cemetery, Lucknow.

When the litter had been carried away,
MacLeod tried to answer questions from a
crowd of people all talking at once.
"Who is she? Where did she come from? Is
she going to die?"
MacLeod held up his hand for silence.
I know very little" about the poor woman,
except . what the Indians have told ume," he
said in an exasperated tone. "They thought
she had travelled many miles on foot for
several days, was completely lost and
eventually collapsed out of sheer exhaus-
tion."
There, was a long silence before, anybody
spoke.
"Is there anything we can do?".
"At the moment, I doubt if there is any
help we can give her," MacLeod said sadly.
"But she is in . the capable hands of Doctor
Cameron. And we can pray, my friends - we
caP Pray!"
