Norma Rintoul visited on Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Robinson, Mark, Tracy and Tim of Belgrave. Mr. and Mrs. Neil Rintoul, Steven, Scott and Stuart of West. We are sorry to report that Hazel Purdon is a patient in Wingham .Hospital. This community wishes her a most speedy re- covery. Gertrude Tiffin of Wingham visited Fri- day with Mr. and Mrs. Victor Emerson and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Tiffin. This cogmmunity was saddened by the sudden passing of Dan Tiffin of Wingham. Dan was born on the farm on the fourth 'of Kinloss where hegrew to manhood. After being married, he lived on highway 86, second concession; Kinloss and village of Whitechurch, before moving to Wingham. He and his wife and family, while at these residences, endeared themselves to all and gave of their talents in the community. Visitors on Sunday with Mr. and Mrs: E. W. ' Mills opened the meeting with a short worship service. Archie Purdon read the minutes of the 1984/ annual meeting. The annual report was read and adopted as printed. The election of officers for, 1985 was held. 'Re-elected to Board of Trustees were John Gaunt, Don Ross and William R. Purdon. Agnes Gaunt,, .Norma Rintoul, Mary Simpson, David Ross ' and Lori Falconer were, elected to the board of managers. Ushers will ' be William R. Purdon, William Young, Archie Purdon, Dave Moffat, Bob Ross, Neil Rintoul and Wallace Milligan is chairman ofthe board of managers. Archie Purdon is secretary. Agnes Gaunt is treasurer. Rev. The roll call was answered by six giving information on Korea. The minutes were read by secretary, Mrs. Russel Chapman. Mrs. Dave Gibb read the scripture, and read . a letter from McDaniel Phillips, telling of their life. in Bonaires. Muriel Thompson gave a talk on Korea. In 1945 it was divided in two parts. The north portion is under communist rule and the south has a military government. In 1984 Korea celebrated 100 years of christ- ianity. There are 38 million people in Korea, the size of Newfoundland. Agnes Farrier gave a report of the. Pres- byterial meeting , held in Wingham on Monday. Mrs. Chapman closed the meeting with prayer.
