Earlier in the day Clinton had bombed Brussels 9 - 1 to take the consolation title. Eight teams took part in the tournament, which got underway Friday afternoon and wound up on Saturday. The host team, Wingham, shut out Brussels 3 -. 0 in the opening game of the .tournament while Howick trounced Seaforth •7 - 0; Lucknow downed Mitchell 5 1 and Elma=Logan doubled Clinton 4 . - 2., In championship round action on Satur- day, Wingham went down to defeat 6 1 at the hands of a strong Howick squad, while Lucknow defeated Elma-Logan 5 - 3. On the consolation ,side, a match between Brussels and Seaforth went into overtime before •.Brussels ' emerged victor- ious by a score of 2 = 1. Clinton had no trouble dumping Mitchell 7 1 in the other match. Adam Skillen of Lucknow was selected as the most valuable player in the tourn-- ment, while Howick was honouredas the most sportsman like team.
