THE GRADE 7 TRIP by B. Earl and D. Wemham The grade seven class went on a trip to the East Wawanosh Conser vation Area for classes using compasses and maps. We inter viewed Rebecca Brubacher about her trip. She told us when they first got there they went into the main building and talked with the leader. They then went outside and did some orienteering with maps. They then went into the woods where some people got lost! After that they all had lunch. After they finished lunch they used compasses and went around the yard and played some games and they all had fun! THE COMPUTERS by D. Uhler and M. Cranbrook’s Jolly Green Giants held their fourth meeting of 4-H at Lois Hart’s on Oct. 15. Members started the meeting with the 4-H pledge. Then Jean Locking read the minutes of the last meeting. Then they decided when the next meeting would be. They discussed pages of the members pamphlet and filled in the blanks. The youth leader, Leanne Minielly conducted the pages about “On tario Apples and Pears’’ using three pears and five apples. Everyone sampled the pears and apples and tried toguess which ones they were. Then members sampled the “Fruited Yogurt Dessert’’ that was made by Nancy Vanass. They decided their sixth meeting would be a Halloween party and they would discuss it more at the next meeting. Hullett to host cross country races IS GETTING MORE.
