Karen Knight weds Glenn Trivett at Melville Church Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Trivett On August 22,1987 Karen Anne Knight and Glenn Louis Howard Trivett were married in Melville Presbyterian Church, Brussels. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Knight, Brussels and the groom is the son of Mr. and Bible Sunday at Blyth United It was Canadian Bible Sunday in Blyth United Church. The special speaker was Dr. Thomas Bormena a professor of electrical engineer- ingat Western University and a past president of the Bible Socie­ ty’s board of directors. He used as his theme, “God’s word to each his own. ’ ’ He said “The goal of the Bible Society is to provide everyone with a Bible or portion of scripture in their own language.” The Bible Society, translates, publishes and distri­ butes bibles - this year they have sold bibles in Canada alone in 126 languages”, he stated. “The United Bible Society have recently opened a publishing house in China where they hope to publish 100,000 Bibles this year - not to mention portions of scripture and hymn books to be used by the demise Christians,” he said. The bride’s attendants were Shelly Draper, maid of honour, Carla Gunn, Carol Ten Pas and Michelle Vader, bridesmaids. The flower girls were Alicia Trivett and Brooklyn Wheeler. Best man was Paul Trivett and ushers were Mark service with Fred Howson giving the pastoral prayer. The choir sang, “Thewonderofitall”. Emily Philip told the children the story of Baby Chick Melvin who disobeyed his mother - but because sehe loved him, rescued him, comparing this to God’s love for us - even when we wander away and disobey Him.
