The Fall Bible Study begins Friday, Sept. 25 at 1:15 p.m. at the manse. Atchildren’s time Dave showed the birthday card he helped Greg make for his mother’s birthday. Junior Congregation leader was Denise Gross. The sermon was on “David, a man after God’s own heart.’’ People around Londesboro Mr. and Mrs. Doug Snell and Mr. and Mrs. BobThompson spent .the weekend at Magnetawan visit­ ing Mr. and Mrs. Ray Fisher. Laura Lyon and Edythe Beacom spent a week visiting with their cousins Mr. and Mrs. Russell McGee at Lansing, Michigan and friends and relatives at Pickford, Michigan. The September U. C. W. meeting will be held at the church on Monday, Sept. 21 at 8 p.m. The guest speaker is Mrs. Lome Snell. Londesboro dancers win at Thresher Reunion Stepdancers from Londesboro stepped off with many of the prizes at the stepdancing competition Sunday at the Huron Pioneer Thresher Reunion in Blyth. “Friends Forever’’ the stepdan­ cing trio made up of Cheri Taylor, Kelly Bosman and Nancy Lobb was first in the group open class. “SweetDreams” madeupofPaula Allen, Rhonda Howatt and Kerri Szusz were second in the same group. Inthesolocompetition, Cheri Taylor of Londesboro was first in her reel class. Other winners were Kerri and Jennifer Szusz of Londesboro, Nancy Lobb of Holmesville and Jason Dalton of Winthrop. Lions plan country breakfast The Londesboro and District Lions held their first meeting for the 1987-88 seasononThursday Sept. 3, under the leadership of President Keith Allen. Duty rosters for parking cars at the Thresher Reunion in Blyth were handedoutandplanswere made for the Old Tyme Country Breakfast on Sunday, Sept. 20. the annual Walk-a-Dog-a-Thon will be held on Oct. 4, to raise money for Canine Vision, Canada, a school for Seeing Eye Dogs.
