Phone SS7-94S7 75 gather in Belgrave for Robinson reunion The Robinson Reunion was held in Belgrave Arena Sunday. August 2, with 75 relatives and nine guests present. Following the meal, games were enjoyed by all ages conducted by People around Belgrave Mr. David Lennox of Brunner spent the weekend at the home of his sisters and brother-in-law's Mr. and Mrs. Lome Jamieson of Wingham and Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Hanna of Belgrave. Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Hopper, Carol, Heather and Kendra of RR 5. Brussels, and Mr. and Mrs. Mrs. Joyce Thompson. The oldest person present was Joe Thompson of Goderich, the youngest child was Jessica Coyne of Waterloo. The person coming the farthest was Mrs. Ruth Coyne of Windsor; the person who guessed the nearest number of ju-jubes in a jar was Laura Phillion of Collingwood; the person who guessed the nearest number of peanuts in a jar was Aantje Robinson of Wingham. The near­ est birthday went to Jim Taylor of RR 5, Wingham. Those present were from Bur­ lington, Tillsonburg, Windsor, Collingwood, Waterloo, New Mar­ ket, Goderich, Wingham, Luck­ now, Toronto, London and Bel­ grave. As summer wears on, more and more garage sales seem to sprout all over the country, much to the delight of addicted “browsers’ ’. Mary Bradshaw of Brussels, left, stopped by with her twin sister, Betty Glew of Seaforth, to examine some of the large collection of beer cans being sold by George Love of RR 4, Walton, last weekend. Eldon Cook of RR 1, Belgrave attended the 25th wedding anni­ versary of Mr. and Mrs. David Hanna of North Battleford, Sask. They all visited with other friends. Mrs. Marlene Taff of London spent a few days last week with her parents Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Vincent. Forty-four members of the Black family gathered at the home of Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Rintoul at St. Helens on Sunday afternoon August 2. Those attending were from Belgrave, Blyth, Dungannon, Milton and Brandon, Manitoba. All enjoyed an afternoon of races and games followed by a most enjoyable meal. Mrs. Elizabeth Procter visited with her daughter Maijorie Procter and Mr. Phillip Stopforth of London from July 30 to August 2, attended the Royal Canadian Big Band Festival and also saw the Hot Air Balloon Fiesta in Harris Park. Mr.andMrs. Kenneth Black, Jamie and Joan of Brandon, Manitoba, are spending some holidays with his parents Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Black. Mrs. Gordon Bosman visited her sister Mrs. Agatha Kaasa of Calgary, Alberta. She also visited her son Mr. Clayton Bosman of Prince George, B.C. Last week visitors at the home of their cousins Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Stonehouse were Dr. and Mrs. Tom Lockridge of Manchester, New Hampshire and Major and Mrs. Doug Lockridge of Shilo, Manitoba. They also visited with other cousins in the Wingham area. Champion gets military contract Champion Road Machinery Sales Ltd. of Goderich has been awarded a $1.1 million contract from the Government of Canada to supply road graders to National Defence. Murray Cardiff, Member of Parliament for Huron-Bruce made the announcement on behalf of Supply and Services Minister Monique Vezina.
