The Huron County Library Board invites applications for the
position of Chief Librarian.
This position entails the administration of a County Library System
serving a population of 55,913 with 29 branch libraries, an
operating budget of $863,080 in 1987 and a total staff of 10 full-time
and 41 part-time employees.
This appointment will be made effective January 1,1988.
Qualifications: The successful applicant will have a degree in
Library Science with a minimum of two years experience in a
responsible administrative or supervisory capacity in a public
library.
Experience with a County library and library auditorium
systems would be an asset.
Initiative and excellent oral and written communication skills
are essential.
Salary: Negotiable and includes a full range of employee benefits.
The 1988 salary range is $33,514 - $40,950.
