The Wingham Voice for Life executive members were optimis tic at their January meeting for the fu ture of the unborn children due to the two Private Member’s Bills being considered by the House of Commons, One bill, initiated by Mr. Gus Mitges, asks for protec tion of the unborn in the Charter of Rights. The other, introduced by Mr. Laurence O’Neil, M.P., deals with legal counsel for the unborn. Further pro-life promotion was provided by the continuing TV commercial “Aren’t they Forget ting Someone’ ’ aired on CKNX. Sally Campeau explained the scheduled 20 showings for Janu ary, fivefor February and 20for March. A peaceful protest was held at Morgetaler’s abortion clinic in Torontoin the form of a 24-hour prayer vigil. Another positive aspect favour ed by the pro-life executive is the organization REAL Women. Its objectives include the reaffirma tion that the family is society’s most important unit and the support of the right to life of all the innocent individuals from concep tion to natural death.
