The only minor hockey game
reported this week came from the

Employment preparation planned
The Huron County Board of
Education has approved a resolu
tion to negotiate an agreement
with Conestoga College to provide
an adult academic upgrading and
employment preparation program
in central Huron.
The course could accommodate
15 adults and would likely be
located at Central Huron Secon
dary School in Clinton.
The course would be federally
funded. It was requested by the
Canada Employment and Immi
gration Centre in Goderich as the
period had been played when
Drayton scored the first goal. Just
three minutes later Dave Stephen
son scored from Ken Cousins to tie
the score. Drayton scored at 12:15
to go ahead once more. Jim
Campbell scored on a pass from
Ken Higgins at 6:49 to tie the score

the first period.

the second period to tie the score in
the see-saw battle. Kevin McArter
scored from Doug Taylor and Tim
Fritzat 10:23 to put Brussels ahead
once more. The Bulls allowed
themselves to be intimidated on
some rather slack officiating and
played the most of the period
short-handed, which showed on
the scoreboard. Mt. Brydges
scored three unanswered goals to
take a 5 - 3 lead at the end of the
second period.
Brussels players cleaned up
their act in the third period and
played hockey. It was 11:52 before
Ke vin Johnston beat the goalie on a
pass from Brian Campbell. Marty
Rutledge blistered a shot on a pass
from Rob Cardiff, at the goalie
which he dropped from his glove
and back into the net for the tying
goal
Marty almost had the winning
goal when a similar shot dropped
from the goalie’s glove and rolled
just past the goal post. The game
ended in a 5 - 5 tie.
The Bulls played their hockey
games this weekend without coach
Joe Steffler who is hospitalized.
We hope the rest will put every
thing back in order and the team
and fans all wish him a speedy
recovery.
