Mrs. Donalda Pollard of the 8th

went surgery in St. Joseph'S
Hospital, London early last week.
Also a patient in St. Joe's is Mrs.
Adeline Hackett of Ripley.
Two auction sales were held in
the area last week - Thursday and
Saturday. On .Thursday it was the
farm sale of Elmer Hooey on the
4th concession west at the° Hooey
homestead while on Saturday the
sale was for the furniture and
household effects of Mrs. Gladys
Huston and Mr. and Mrs. • Dave
Martyn. All three now reside in
Huron Villa. Saturday's sale was on
the lawn of the Gladys Huston
place on main street south in
Ripley. Auctioneers were Grant
McDonald and Wallace Ballagh
with Lloyd McNall as clerk cashier.
Also on Saturday. Don MacTavish
was sales recording clerk.and ?Nis.

Murray spent the weekend in
