Farm Safety Mike Miller, farm safety consul- tant for Western Ontario, was the guest speaker at the Huron County 4-H Farm Safety, Club at the monthly meeting. The meeting was held at Harvey Stewart's near Clinton. He showed what chances are being taken by not being safe all the time, not just on the farm. He had a bottle with 300 salt pills with 30 covered with ex-lax coating and one poisonous pill. It was telling us that with every 300 unsafe things we do, 30 would be minor injuries, but one out of 300 would result in a death. Mike showed some films on how to be safe around farm equipment. Paul Curran thanked Mike Miller for coming to the club and giving an interesting talk. A delicious lunch was served by the hostess. • NOTICE EXTENSIVE WORK IS TO BE DONE IN GREASING THE INSIDE OF THE LUCKNOW WATER SYSTEM'S "STANDPIPE" Work Is Scheduled To Begin Next Monday, July 4th Residents are asked to refrain from washing clothes that day, for their own protection, and to draw off enough water for morning use.
