Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Webster and
Mr., and Mrs. John Webster of Big
Valley, Alberta spent last week
visiting relatives in Lucknow and
Clinton areas. They attended the
annual Webster • picnic on June
19th, held in Brucefield. Lloyd and
John are sons of the late Mr. and
Mrs. Ed Webster of Big Valley,
Alberta.
Mrs. John Crow and daughters
Heather and. Sharon of Westland,
Michigan visited in Lucknow last
Monday.
Mr. and Mrs. Russell Phillips of
R. R. 2 Lucknow and Mr. and Mrs.
Oliver McCharles, Lochalsh, re-
turned Sunday, June 26 from a 3
week trip that took them as far as
Kamloops, British Columbia, re-
turning by the mid western states.
Among the calls they made were
with Mr. and Mrs. Sam Chalack
and her mother Mrs. Isobel
Hawkwood of Cochrane, Alberta.
Mrs. Hawkwood is a former
Ashfield resident and wished to be
remembered to her Lucknow area
friends. Visiting at the same home
at the same time were Mr. and
Mrs. Peter Levick (the former
Marjorie Alton) and son Erin now
of Ottawa and Mr. and 'Mrs. Clyde
Levick of Australia and also other
members of the Hawkwood family.

Osborne Picnic
At Tiverton .
On Sunday, June 26th,- the
annual Osborne picnic was held at
the Tiverton Community Centre
with 95 people signing the register.
During the afternoon the com-
mittee in charge had games for
both thechildren and adults, which
were a lot of fun. We were favoured
with some music, by the Wagner
family of ,Woodstock, which was
much enjoyed.
After the singing of 'grace, the
crowd enjoyed a delicious smorgas-
bord style supper.
Earl Hyde conducted the busi-
ness, and after a "word of
welcome", a minute of silence was
observed for the following people
who had passed away since the last
picnic, Mrs. Gertie Wrightson. Mr.
Lawrence Bonnett, Mrs. Susie
Atkinson and Mrs.. Sarah Osborne.
The same committee is to take
charge of next year's picnic which
will be held at the same place and
same time, Tiverton Community
Centre. on the last Sunday in June.
Mrs. Mildred Johnson was made
Honourary President as she was
one of the people to get this picnic
started back in 1970.
The following prizes were given
out - girl under 12 years with the
longest hair, Shelley Wagner; boy
under 12 years with oldest thing in
pocket. wheel weight, Rodger
Schnittler; couple with wedding
anniversary closest to June 26, Mr.
and Mrs. Lorne Ferguson; oldest
person present, George Osborne,
89 years; person coming longest
distance, Jack Chesson, Pembroke;
• ones with largest family present,
including grandchildren, Gerald
and Eileen Wagner, 18 members;
lucky chair, Eileen Wagner.
After the business, the tables
were cleared and people visited
and are looking forward to another
good picnic next year.
South' Kinloss Presbyterian
Church, decorated with baskets of
spring flowers, was the setting for
the marriage of Ardonna. Elaine
MacIntyre and James Donald
Symes on Saturday, May 7th' at 4
p.m. The bride is a daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Donald J. MacIntyre of
Lucknow. The groom is a son of
Mr. and Mrs. William Albert,
Symes of Campbellford. Rev.
Robert Armstrong of Wingham
officiated.
Given in marriage by her father,
the bride wore a white Victorian
styled gown with matching white
hat and parasol with cascade of
yellow roses and daisies.
Matron of honour was Barbara
Pratt of Hamilton, sister of the
bride. Bridesmaids were .Lori
Symes, niece of the groom; Sheila
and Jo-Ann Maclntyre, both of
Lucknow and sisters of the bride.

Lucknow, was flower girl. She wore
a blue print eyelet dress with blue
trim and carried a basket of
assorted spring flowers.
Scott Koyle of Lucknow nephew

George Thompson of Campbell-
ford was groomsman.
Ushers were Bob Symes, brother
of the groom; Mike Lucas, brother-
in-law of the groom and Randy
Guay.

Lucknow was organist. Soloist was
Mrs. June Hagerman of Campbell-
ford who sang "Why Me Lord"
and "0 Perfect Love".

The couple are residing in
Lucknow.
