Lucknow Fire Department re-
sponded to two calls this past week.
In mid week,' about noon hour, a
trailer was destroyed at the
McArthur trailer park at Fisher-
man's Cove, Clam Lake. A second
trailer was damaged. On Sunday
morning, about 6 a.m., an auto-
mobile belonging to Tom Barger of
Ashfield was destroyed when it
caught fire on Highway 86, east of
Harold Elphick's farm. En route to
the Sunday morning fire, firemen
had to awaken a young man who
was sleeping crossways on 86
highway, just west of Lucknow.
Fortunately it was daylight at the
time, and he was, visible by the
approaching vehicles from the fire
department. Thanks to firemen he
was able to continue on into 1977.
THAT
Seven young people became
members of the Lucknow United .
Church on Sunday by profession of
faith. They were Blair Alton, David
Atkinson, Steven Atkinson, Debbie
Bolt, Ron Johnson, Pam McIntosh
and Nancy ThompsOn. It was the
final Sunday as choir leader for
Mrs. Allan Johnson who, with her
husband, is moving to Exeter
where Allan was recently appoint-
ed manager of the Bank of
Montreal there.
