Institute meeting on Thursday

Mr. and Mrs. Harry Moss of
Plattsville were Thursday evening Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Farrier,
callers on Mrs. Ben McClenaghan I Kimberley and Amy of Guelph
and Mr. and Mrs. Carl McClenag- were weekend visitors with his
mother, Mrs. Agnes Farrier. Mr.
and- Mrs. Farrier. were also at
Walkerton on the weekend and the
Mr. and Mrs. Walter Moore
throughout the years have been
finding glass bottles in their
garden. Some are of different
colours. The latest was glass vial
with letter B on the bottom and
fitted with a wooden cork used by
the drug stores.
Visitors on Sunday with Mr. and
Mrs. Earl Wilkens were Mr. and
Mrs. Floyd Wilkens. Mr. and Mrs.
Jim Scott of Listowel. and Mr. and
Mrs. Bill Wilkens, Kimberley and
Robbie of Gowanstown.
A reception was held Saturday
evening in Whitechurch Commun-
ity Memorial Hall in honour of Mr.
and Mrs. Dave McGlynn (nee Joan .
Tiffin) newlyweds. A large crowd
gathered to enjoy dancing to the
music of Elliott Carruthers' orches-
tra. After lunch was served the
newlyweds were called to the
platform and given seats of honour
while John Jamieson addressed
them and presented a gift of money
on behalf of the gathering.
