on Thursday from Sarnia and, on
Saturday Brian Falconer came to
visit with Mr. and Mrs. Wallace
Milligan.
Dungannon Branch of the Wom-
en's Institute held a very successful
dessert-euchre party at Brookside
School on Wednesday, March 23.
at 1.30 p.m. There were 23 tables.
Prizes were given to two 'highest
and a low: in white cards to Nora
Finnigan, Ellen Bogie and Sally
Wright: in pink cards to Florence
Reed. Elsie Irvin and Yvonne Kerr.
Other winners on draws were

' Ruby Hackett and Mansell Fowler.
Lucky chair winner' was Mrs.
Mansell Fowler. Driving home was
tricky due to the snow and sleet
which came during the afternoon,
however all report an enjoyable
time, thanks to the planning of the
! various committees.
During the afternoon a beautiful
quilt and afghan were on display
for which tickets are available. !
On Saturday Mr. and Mrs. Dave
McGlynn of Kitchener visited with
her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joe
Tiffin, Joey and grandmother, Mrs:
Orville Tiffin. • Mrs. McGlynn on
Monday begins work at the Bank of
Montreal in Kitchener.
On Saturday Whitechurch 4-H
club went to Bill Robinson's sugar
bush to see maple syrup being
made. The girls were really given a
tour of the sugar bush. Present for
the occasion were June Alton, Lorie
Purdon, Kathy. Purdon, Janet
Laidlaw, Mary Moore, Lori Ann
Jamieson., Absent were Cathy
England and Faye Irwin. When the
girls returned to Archie Purdon's.
where a few shade trees were
tapped, they gathered sap from
pails and so observed the making of
maple syrup the modern and old
time way. They made their book
covers and had lunch at Mrs.
Archie Purdon's.
