Huron & Kinloss Municipal Telephone System Ripley, Ontario TODAY'S CHILD BY HELEN ALLEN, Joey looks older than six because he is big for his age. But he seems younger because he has been slow in developing. This little fellow comes from a detirived background, so he is behind the average for his age and is now in kindergarten. Joey's teacher says he has a short attention span but is not disruptive in class. She is , fond of him and he is popular with his classm'ates. He likes 'other children but prefers to play with younger ones. Healthy Joey hag blue eyes, light broWn hair, and fair skin. He wears glasses for astigmatism. He is easy-going and good-natured, always ready to fall in with other people's plans. Joey learned to swim last summer but is not involved in any other sports. If allowed he would probably overeat, because food is important to him. Joey loves company and will work along with his foster parents around the house rather than be alone. It will take him a long time to trust new parents but he will be a lovable son for people whose academic expectations are not high. To inquire about adopting Joey, please write to Today's Child, Ministry of Community & Social Services, Box 888, Station K, Toronto M4P 2H2. In your letter tell something of your present family and your way of life. For general adoption, contact" your local Children'S Aid Society.
