The Council got down to business
and set the dates and times for future
meetings. The meetings will be held
on the first and third Monday of
every month and from November to
April the meetings will start at 9:30
a.m. From April through to Novem
ber the meetings will be in the

The incomplete work on the
Deitner Drain was discussed. By
next meeting the report by the
consulting engineer should show
how the deficiencies in the work will
be dealt with. These were cited in the
inspection by the Ministry of
Agriculture. The Road Superinten
dent Roy Williamson outlined the
preparations for snow removal. This
winter there will be one full time and
three part time operators of snow
removal equipment.
Darwin Ducharme asked to ad
dress Council about the status of L &
M Wrecking which is located near
his residence. He asked about the
granting of a license to operate a
salvage yard. Council pointed out
that it was the Ministry of Transport
which granted the license. The
property is zoned for such an
enterprise and Council could not
alter the zoning by-law without the
consent of the owner. The wrecking
yard was situated on the property
many years before the zoning
by-laws came into effect.
