Phone 887-4487 Sarah Anderson marks 85th birthday A happy occasion was celebrat­ ed on Saturday, September 3 at the home of Mrs. Sarah Anderson when family and friends gathered to congratulate her on her 85th birthday. All her family were present for the special occasion. Attending were: Mrs. Pat Hunk- ing of Auburn; Mr. and Mrs. Bill Schreiber of Milton; Mr. and Mrs. Ed Hartlin, Kingston; Mr. and Mrs. Tom Moy, Mississauga; Mr. and Mrs. James Anderson, Guelph and Mr. and Mrs. Keith Anderson, Schomberg as well as 14 of her grandchildren and her sister Mrs. East Wawanosh Reeve Ernie Snell took his turn at the walking plow behinda 1947 Minneapolis-Moline tractor owned and driven by Lionel Wilder, Reeve of Hay Township, in the Present and Former Mayors, Reeves and Wardens class at the Huron County Plowing Match held near Brussels Thursday and Friday. The pair thoroughly enjoyed the workout, but failed to place in the competition. Clara Black of Campbellville. Added to these were nieces, nephews and friends to make a total of 85 people who came to help Sarah celebrate her birthday. All wish her many more years of health B. C., Alberta people visit Belgrave relatives Mrs. Frances Holland of Kin­ cardine and Mrs. Winnifred John­ ston of Wingham visited on Thursday with Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Stonehouse. Mrs. Ruth Sholdice of Parks­ ville, B.C. and Gordon Nethery of Edmonton, Alberta have spent the past two weeks visiting with Mrs. Florence Black, Mr. and Mrs William Nethery, and other rela tives in this area. and happiness. Belgrave people Mrs. Ruth Coyne and her grandson Ken Kirkham of Wind­ sor spent a few days last week with her sister and brother-in-law Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Taylor and other Robinson relatives. Friends and neighbours wish to congratulate Mrs. Sarah Anderson of RR 4, Brussels who celebrated her birthday September 3. Mr. and Mrs. Ross Wightman, Pamela and Kevin of Fergus spent Friday and Saturday with Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Wightman. Mr. and Mrs. Don Metcalfe, Marie and Marsha of Hanover visited on Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Wightman. Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Vincent of Milton visited on Sunday and Monday with his parents Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Vincent. Carrie Ann Vincent, who has been holidaying with her grandparents, returned home on Monday with her parents. Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Vincent attended the 50th wedding anni­ versary of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Walden of Blyth on Sunday afternoon in the Blyth United Church. Mr. and Mrs. William Rae of Hanover visited September 1 at thehomeofMr. and Mrs. Edgar Wightman. Paul Coultes leaves for the O.A.C. Guelph where he will start his second year of the diploma course. Steven Coultes has joined the St. Mary’s Lincolns of the Western Junior B Hockey League and will be taking Grade 13 at the St. Marys High School. Marjorie Procter and Mr. Philip Stopforth of London and Miss Ruth Stopforth of Manchester, England visited with Mrs. Elizabeth Procter of Belgrave for a couple of days this past week. Dr. and Mrs. Donald Whitfield, Jeff and Jennie of Sault Ste. Marie spent last weekend with Mr. and Mrs. George Michie.
