At the end of August we said goodbye and good luck to our summer student Heather Mac- Kenzie. Heather is heading to school in Sarnia where she is enrolled in Social Services in Lambton College. We wish Heath er the best of luck in all future endeavours. Many activities have been planned for the month of Septem ber. During the first week a baby shower was held for the newest member of the day centre Joelle, daughter of our clerk/bookkeeper Cathy Ritsema. We all got to meet her and a few lucky ones got to hold her. After games and refresh ments we said goodbye to Joelle but knew we would see her again soon. For the week of Sept. 5 - 9, we will be heading back to school with afternoons of quizzes, spelling bees and games. During the third week of Sep tember we will be making shelves under the direction of two of our dedicated volunteers Wes Young and Alf Nichol. These shelves will be sold at our annual craft sale held on Thursday, Nov. 24. The last week of September we will be busy doing other crafts for the upcoming sale.
