On Wednesday, November
12th, 1980 the mothers of the
Holyrood Brownies met at
Kinloss. Central' Public
School.
The Brownie leaders, Mrs.
Rose Moulton and Mrs.
Joyce Hedley, invited the
area commissioner, Mrs. Bev
Thompson, to attend . the
meeting. Mrs. Thompson
suggested that the mothers
form a committee. She also
gave advise on how to raise
funds to support the .Holy-
rood pack, which being loc-
ated in, a fairly isolated rural
area does not have the ad-
vantages of urban Brownie
packs.
The idea of forming a
"Mother's Committee" was
adopted. It was agreed to
elect officers annually.
Joanne Murray and Sally
EclisIrry volunteered 'to
chair the committee. Joanne
Stanley and Barb Breckles
elected to be the telephone
conveners. Brenda Godwin
undertook the duties of sect
retary for the group.
The committee immediate-
ly embarked upon a course of
action, deciding to hold a
combined coffee party, bake
sale and bazaar November
29th. Details to appear at a
later date.
The committee will meet
° November 19th to finalize
plans for the event which will
be held at the Holyrood
Community Hall,
