Strikes, strikes •
Here a strike and there
-a strike. Just strikes;
strikes and more strikes,
High .school teachers in
Bruce County, bus
drivers, in London • then
Montreal; translators in
Ottawa, medical interns,
and residents of several
hospitals in several
Cities.
Twenty 'five years ago,
Bill Steer, who served .
`Canada in ,both world
Wars, and worked, as' a
foreman for .11 .years in
the main Detroit Ford,
factory, often; used to
have Sunday afternoon •
conversations , with Ab
Wylds over• on.. Malcolm
Street. They agreed the
strikes had once served a
useful purpose but . if
some way was not found
to control them they
would lead to the
ruination of the country.
No, matter what they say
if one digs deep anough
the bottom line of all
strikes it is simply "More
Morley for less work"..
This world is plagued
With troubles on every
land. What is the
solution? Well as the
Hitch Hiker's song states..
"It is there in the Bible."
