WATER WORKS
The fall water works meet-
ina for the of. White-
churchwas held Tnei.day
evening in Whitechurch
Community Memorial Hall
with an attendance of 14.
The president, Mrs, Lorne
Durnin, opened the meeting,
the secretary, Mrs. Little,
read the minutes. Mrs. Gib-
son, treasurer, reported only
ten 'had paid their fees to her,
Others had paid their fees to
the secretary and Mrs. Gib-
son could not have her
financial report ready for the
meeting.
A complaint by many was
that the hot water had a
smell. Hence the next day,
Dave Gibb said he would
flush the lines, in the hope
this would improve it.
A motion was passed that
in future all fees be paid to
the treasurer'in order to
comply with the by-laws.
Officers were 'reminded that
newcomers to the village be
given a set of by-laws. All
were reminded to put: a can
over the shut off and to put a
stick at the shut off so it can
be found in winter in .case of -
fire. The annual meeting will
be held in the spring.
