Sympathy is extended to Mrs.
Lois McCall and family in the
recent loss of their mother and
grandmother Mrs. W. T. Cruick-
shank.
About 75 family members and
close friends attended a golden
anniversary party in the Sheraton
Hotel Saskatoon for Dr. Chas and
Anne Myers on July 7.
Elizabeth Kernoghan acted as
chairlady. Following a delicious
dinner, regrets from those unable
to attend, were read. Several
guests spoke briefly of their
association with the Myers family.
George McCutcheon spoke at
lengthof past memories shared
with the Myerses, revealing many
forgotten incidents over the past 40
years.
Brenda Richmond, attired in her
grandmother’s wedding dress,
read an amusing poem dedicated
to the celebrants.
Don Kai, of Wingham, prepared
a video of pictures of the couple
from their wedding album, then
added the evening’s celebration
pictures. He also compiled an
album of the evening, which all
enjoyed. About 40 persons of the
party-goers were from Ontario.
Attending from Brussels were the
Richmond family, Sarah Stephen
son and George and Barbara
McCutcheon, Jeannette and Bob
McCutcheon from North Vancou
ver were present, as well.
The following day, the family
entertained the guests at the
Forestry Farm with a barbecue.
Following the luncheon, every
one was free to visit the zoo or walk
through the park.
On Saturday afternoon, there
was a tea, in the common room of
Dr. and Mrs. Myer’s apartment.
About three hundred people drop
ped in to offer their congratulations
to Anne and Dr. Charles.
Deepest sympathy is also exten
ded to Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Jutzi on
the loss of their infant son.
The annual Goll Reunion was
held Sunday, July 10 at the
Bluevale Conservation Park.
Family members came from
Guelph, Brantford, London, Mil
verton, Clifford, Wingham and
Brussels. Everyone enjoyed the
games and the smorgasbord sup
per.
Helen Cardiff returned home
Saturday after spending a couple of
days in St. Joseph’s Hospital,
London for a cataract operation.
Dona Knight had a special
birthday on Sunday, July 10. Her
family gathered at the cottage and
then took her to Robindales in
Goderich to celebrate.
Dona certainly didn’t act her age
on Saturday when, accompanied
by Mary Ten Pas, they biked from
Brussels to Bayfield. Way to go
girls. Jim and Dona will be staying
at the cottage for two weeks so
Dona can recuperate.
Mary and Murray Huether of
Brussels spent the weekend with
Joan, Gary and Christopher Rit

attended the Sunday Blue Jay
