The team had a change of plans as word came that the first round of playoffs was to begin. Their scheduled game against Elma- Logan on Wednesday, January 20 was cancelled at the first playoff game against Clifford was played instead. LOSE TO CLIFFORD There was no doubt that these two teams came to play hockey as they put on a good show for the crowd as Clifford shaded Blyth in overtime 4-3. Two minutes later Michael Bromley added to the lead as he also finished off a rink le ngth dash with an unassisted tally. Regulation time expired with the teams tied at three and a 10-minute overtime period followed. It was heart stopping action in the extra session with both teams having plenty of chances to net the winner. The game was headed for an overtime tie as the clock wound down but the Clifford offence had other ideas. They scored the winning goal with only 11 seconds left on the clock.
