Lucknow Canadian Girls in Train-
ing led in the 1976 Vesper Service
"The Gifts of Christmas". The
leader for the service was Barbara
Loree, arid readers were. Irene
Reitknecht, Mary Lynn Cayley,
Patti-Lou Irwin, Kim Haldenby and
Faye Ann Forster.
In the darkened church, 'Mrs'.
Nancy Brown sang the solo "Joy
Shall Come Even In the. Wilder-
ness". God's Good News was
proclaimed by Debra Arnold.
While -the congregation sang. "The
King of Glory Comes", the girls
entered doing the Israeli folk
dance, the Hora. Elizabeth Black
was the messenger.
Laurie Clarke accompanied on
the guitar for the song "I Wonder
As I Wander" and Bonnie Clarke
sang a solo verse. •Mrs. Donalda
Scott accompanied on the organ
during the rest of the music.
"The Gift of the 'Magi", a short
story by O. Henry, was dramatized
by Pamela McIntosh and Lynn
Elphick.. The candlelighter was
Brenda Arnold in conversation with
Barbara Henderson, Sandra Henri,
erson, Kendra Haldenby, Susari
Thompson, Kay Morrison, Mary
Ann Ritchie and. Barbara Maize.
The C.G.I.T. passed• the Peace of
God-to, the congregation. •
Along with their offering, the
people were asked to think of
something they could do for
someone outside their own family
during the Christmas season.
Those receiving the offering were
Lila and Bonnie Purves, Brenda
Henderson and. Peggy Gibson. .The
magi, Ralph ..and Roger Morrison
and Murray Gilchrist brought
forward their gifts also,
The girls sang "This IS My Gift"
and everyone joined in the reces-
sional hymn "Sing Alleluia". A
candle was lit by each girl at, the
close of the service. Ushers were
Shirley Loree, Judy Hunter, Eliza-
beth Black and Bonnie Purves.
Everyone enjoyed a social time
with, punch and cookies served by
the ladies of the W.M.S.

The 4-H Achievement 'Day is
being 'held on Saturday at Walker-
ton High School. Our club started
out with 6 girls and owing to
sickness has ended up with 3 girls.
Mr. and Mrs. Neil Rintoul,
Steven and Scott.. of West Wawa-
nosh are spending a' few days in
Toronto. Neil is attending the cow
calf conference and 'Mrs.' Rintoul
and boys will visit with her aunt
and uncle. Mr. and Mrs. Bill
Sproul..

Randy Scott is a patient at St.
Marys Hospital, Kitchener.
On Saturday" evening Mr. and
Mrs. Bill Snowden and. Billie of
Lucknow visited with Mr. and Mrs.
Joe Tiffin and family.
Sunday afternoon Mr.' and Mrs.
Joe Tiffin, Joey and Mrs. Elizabeth
Tiffin were at Bill Snowden's at
Lucknow and looked after Billie,
