tion for the upcoming season' was
held on Saturday with only 13 boys
registering.
The Lucknow Minor Hockey,
Association will hold the .second
planned registration day this
Saturday, October 9th from 1 to 5

Church, Mount Forest, decorated
with candelabra with white candles
and two baskets of ,white daisies
and yellow .glads, was the setting
for the 'wedding of Linda Isobel .
Mewhinney and Beverley James
Hunter, both of Kitchener, on
Saturday, September 11 at 3.30
p.m.
, The bride is 'a daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Frank Mewhinney of R.
R. 1 Lucknow.. The groom is a son
of Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Hunter of
Mount Forest.
Rev. E. Lloyd' Clifton of Mount
Forest officiated at the double ring
ceremony.
The bride, given in marriage by
her father, wore an Zriwire style
gown of silk organza, .high neck-
line, long sleeveS with,flounce cuffs
and watteau train. Guipure lace
trimmed the neckline•and bottom of
the dress. .Her Juliette' cap
trimmed with pearls held a two-tier
fingertip veil with matching lace.
She carried a bouquet of 'white
carnations and yellow roses with
baby's breath for the background..
Maid of honour was the bride's
sister Miss Marie Mewhinney of
St. Catharines. She wore a
floor-length gown of mint green
polyester jersey,, styled with ern-.
pire waist, V-neck and short ruffled
sleeves. - y
Bridesmaids were Mrs. Donna
Rae, Mount Forest, friend of , the
bride; Mrs. Steven Schwint, Fer-
gus, Cousin of the groom; Miss
Kathy MeWhifiney, Hanover, sister
of the. bride., Their dresses were
identical to the maid of honour's.
The four ,attendants all wore
white picture hats, trimmed with
green ribbon to match their dresses,
and ,carried nosegays 'of white
daisies and baby's breath.
Groomsman was Ken Stewart of
Kitchener, uncle of the grooni.
Ushers were Bruce Hunter and
Brian Hunter, both brothers of the
groom and Doug Mewhinney,
brother of the bride.
The groom and attendants were
dressed in dark green tuxedos with
velvet lapels. •
Soloists were Mrs. Bruce With-
erow and Mr. Lyle Bender. of
Mount Forest, who sang "The.
Wedding Song" and "white Lace
and Promises":
A reception followed at St.
Mary's Auditorium, Mount Forest.
The bride's mother wore a
sleeveless floor-length- gown. of
pink polyester knit, with a match-
ing long-sleeve lace jacket.. Her
corsage was white carnations and,
pink roses.
The groom's mother chose a brue
long-sleeved floor-length gown of
'polyester jersey, with white bead-
ing 'trimming the V-neck.
FOr travelling the 'bride wore a .
short sleeve red jumpsuit of
polyester jersey, white accessories
and white. orchid corsage.
Following their wedding trip to
Niagara the couple are
residing in Stratford where the
groom is employed with Samsonite
of Canada, Stratford and the bride
is with Mutual Life of Canada in
Waterloo.
Guests were present from Luck-
now, Wingham, Port Elgin, Pais-
ley, Drindalk, Brampton, Streets-
ville, Kitchener, Peterborough,
Milton, St. Catharines, Hanover,
Guelph, Fergus.

Mrs. Jim Ashworth and daugh-
ter Betty Jean of Massillon, Ohio
and Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Caesar,
Paul and Matthew of Cyahago
Falls, Ohio; are visiting relatives in
this area. •
Mr. and 'Mrs. Thos.. FoWler,
Darrell and Karen of Parkhill
visited his parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Chas. Fowler on 'Saturday. Sunday
visitors with the FoWlers were Mr.
and Mrs. John Fowjer of Grand
Bend.
Rev. H. G. Dobson spoke on
"The Hope in World Communion"
for World Communion service on
Sunday. Shelley Rivett presided at
the organ for the service. Next

Sympathy is extended to family
and friends, of the late Wm. Irvin
who passed away, in Wingham
Hospital on Friday night. His
funeral was on Monday from
MacKenzie Funeral Home, Luck-
now.

Fellowship congregation was bles-
sed by the musical ability of the
visiting Daniel Wagler family from

was given by student pastor, Doug
Zehr. Next Sunday the guest
speaker will be Rev. . Stairs of
Brantford representing the" Leprosy
Mission. On -Thanksgiving Mon-
day, communion will be celebrated

Visyitors with Mr. and Mrs. Peter

sister and her husband, Mr. and
