Speciql Service
At Lurgan Church
The, Harvest Thanksgiving ser-
vice was held at Pine' River St.
Luke's Anglican Church, Liirgtui,
on October 3rd at 1.30 p.m. Rev. J,
R. King look the service and the
guest speaker was Rev. •Bill
Townson, former rector from .1971 -
1973. His present parish is at
. Lambeth. "Fill My Cup" was sung
by the trio, Mrs. Leroy Walden,
Miss Sally Elliott and John Kelly,
accompanied by Mrs. Grant .Col-
lins. '
The decorated country church,
with flowers and vegetables' and
God's beauty, around it, made it a
wonderful place to worship..
Coffee. hour was held in the
Parish Hall following the service.
"Ninety per cent of the people
object to abortion". This was the
conclusion which the Goderich and
District Pro Life Group came to
while manning the information
booth at the Plowing Match 'near
Walkerton on Friday,, October 1.
Hundreds of people visited the
booth, accepting literature, watch-
ing slides, and studying the
pictures on 'display. Especially
encouraging /were the. number of
young people who visited and
seemed to grasp the significance of
abortion. They were deeply moved
