The St. Helens 4-H Club has
re-organized for the fall course, the
"Cereal Shelf" under the leader-
ship of Mrs. Raniona Humphrey
and Mrs. 'Fran McQuail.
The ten members called. the
.4:Sloppy Stirrers" are meeting at
the members homes. Dayle
MacDonald held the second meet-
ing where "Dogwood and Onion
Rice" were demonstrated by. Dayle
MacDonald, Kim Cooke and Mar-
ion Raynard.
.Lounging Lassies
The second meeting of the
Lounging Lassies opened with our
vice president, Elizabeth Black,
leading us in' the 4-H pledge.
There were four girls present and
all answered the roll call. •
The minutes of the last meeting
were read by Joanne Ritchie. Betty
Stanley gave the treasurer's report.
We decided our club name would
be Lounging Lassies. We are going
to have blue covers for, our books.
Everyone is to bring a design to the
next meeting.
Mrs. Livingston read Getting
- Ready , to Cut Out , out of the
member's pamphlet. Mrs. Ritchie
read Altering. the ,Length of Pants
and Cutting. and Marking.
For group work we all , started
laying on. our' patterns and some
started cutting out. We closed by
repeating the 4-H creed.

13. After the 4-H pledge was
repeated the following executive.

Deanna Reavie outlined the
requireinents of the club, Clothes
For Leistite. •June Alton discussed
the different fabrics and patterns
suitable for lounge wear. • The girls
Spent the rest of the meeting taking
their measurements and looking fot
a pattern.
The meeting closed with the 4-H
creed.
Versatility and variety are the
words' that best describe the' wide
range of garments that the "Seven
Super Sewers' of the Lucknow #2,
4-H Club have chosen to make in
this project, Clothes for Leisure.
The garments range from nighties
to caftans and anything in between,
, some with lace and ruffles and
others more tailored.
The members spent the major
part of the second meeting pinning,
cutting, and marking their pattern
pieces on their fabric. The leaders
had first discussed how to properly
alter patterns and then mark the
important details of the pattern,
such as dots, placement of trim,
hems, etc. •-s•
For the next meeting we are to
be ready to -,sew. The second
meeting was closed with the 4-H

Zippy Trinettes
President' Janet Wilkins called
meeting three to order and six girls
repeated the - 4-H . pledge on
Tuesday, September 14' at the
home Of Mts. Blake Alton,
Lori Hackett read the m•inutes of
the second meeting and it was
decided to hold the next meeting on
Tuesday, SePtember 21it.
Mrs. Alton •discussed catalogue
of cereals. Miss Ritchie discussed
cereals in many forms and helped
members fill out charts on handout
sheets.
In group work, Miss ,Ritchie
made nuts and bolts, Mrs. Alton
made cherry bran squares.
President Janet Wilkins called ,
the fourth meeting to '.order with
seven girls attending• and repeating
the 4-H pledge on Tuesday,
.September 21it at the home of
Mrs. Blake Alton.
Sharon Alton read the minutes of
the last meeting and it was decided
to hold the next meeting on
Tuesday, September 28 at 7.15.
Miss Ritchie discussed many
different changes of flours avail-,-
able, and their differences. Mrs.
Alton helped girls fill out the
handOut Sheet.
'Group work followed and we
made two different kinds of •
muffins.
Silver Lake:' 4-H
The first meeting of the Silver
Lake4-H club was held at the home
of Mrs. M. Bannerman. The club
is called Clothes for Leisure. There
are 10 girls. The meeting opened
with the 4-h pledge and creed.
Janice Stanley was nominated as
president and Denise King as vice
president. Dianne Bushell and
Lei-Anne Haldenby are: press
reporters. We discussed the
materials necessary for ' the next
Meeting and took measurements.
The, next meeting is at the
Kinloss Community Centre.
Donna Van Osch
Is President
The first meeting of the 4-H
Kingsbridge Club .was held at the
home of Mrs. Delores 'Van Osch.
The name of this project is the
Cereal Shelf. The leader is Mrs.
Delores Van Osch with Joan Van
Osch helping.
We then held the election of
'officers. They are as follows:
iresident, Donna Van Osch; vice
president,.'..Mary Luanne' Clare;
secretary, Linda Swan; treasurer,
Donna Drennan. The rest of the
girls will be taking turns being the
press repOrter.
There were 11 members present;
We filled out the, roll call and
answered two questions. Then
Joan showed how to measure
correctly, while making thp fry pan
cookies. When the cookies were
finished, the girls enjoyed eating
them. • We closed , our meeting with
the 4-H creed.
The second meeting of the
Kingsbridge 4-H Club was held at
Joanne VanOsch's on Monday,
September 20th. The meeting was
opened by the president, Miss
Donna VanOsch with 'the 4-H
pledge. Roll call was answered by
10 girls. Each girl brought $1.00 to
cover food expenses. The name we
decided on is "Kernel Kuties".
The next meeting is at Delores
VanOsch's on Monday, September
27 at 7 p.m. We discussed what
nutrients were found in grains and
ways to make cooked cereal appear
appetizing and look attractive. For
-demonstration, Delores, cooked
wheat hearts, a cereal none of the.
girls had tried before. For • group
work we made ,dogwoods. They
were verygood. All the girls have
to bring samples of grains, barley,
corn, etc. to the next meeting. The
meeting was closed with the 4-H
motto.

Leisure Lovers was held on.
Monday, September 13 at' 4.00
p.m. The meeting opened with the
election of officers and are as
follows: president, Margaret Mac-
Intyre; vice president, Laurie

Press Reporter, Marilynne MacIn-
tyre, Bonnie Clarke.
Mrs. Allen showed us what 'we
Would need in our sewing box.
Mrs. Maclntyre outlined the re-
quirements for Achievement Day.
Mrs. Maclntyre also. discussed
choosing clothes' for leisure. The
roll call was answered by '9
members. We looked at different
pieces of material that we could
use. The meeting was closed with
the 441 pledge.

The 4th meeting of the Zippy
Trinettes was at the home of Mrs.
Barry 'Hackett. karen opened the
meeting and all the members
repeated the 4-H pledge. The girls
then answered the roll call .ques-
